BAY Positives
Hi Lover,
If you only have a minute to read through this please take the time to read what I've highlighted. It's so important to me.
My annual Pride Party is coming up and I wanted to tell you a little bit about the non-profit I have chosen as its beneficiary. With the economy the way it is, this has been a tough year to raise money for my annual event. Across the board corporate donations have declined - so this is where you will hopefully come in.
The non-profit I've chosen this year is BAY Positives.
BAY Positives was established as a peer-run organization over 20 years ago because of a perceived lack of programming that responded specifically to cultural needs of youth and young adults who were infected with HIV/AIDS in San Francisco.
It's heartbreaking news to me whenever anyone tells me they have tested positive, and it's especially painful when it is someone so young. The programs at BAY Positives include HIV prevention education, counseling, a drop-in center, food, support groups, weekend intensives, social/recreational events, and other activities as designed and implemented by members and HIV positive young adults. I'm grateful that an organization like BAY Positives exists to help young people in our community with HIV/AIDS to live longer, happier, healthier, more productive and quality-filled lives.
I need your help to raise money for BAY Positives.
If you are not planning on attending the party this year please support the BAY Positives directly.
