Copy: For this year’s Pride celebration, Juanita MORE! is throwing a party so big, she’s booked two of her favorite venues for the occasion! Featuring world-class DJs and entertainment, this year’s event will take place at two of San Francisco’s most spectacular and unique spaces, both featuring dramatic outdoor and indoor settings. Just blocks apart, guests will be able to travel between venues via a party bus - arriving every 10 minutes. MORE music, MORE dancing, all day and night--all for one price.
The party takes place on Sunday, June 24, 2012 and is benefiting The SF LGBT Center (www.sfcenter.org). All proceeds from the party will go to this great community resource as it celebrates its tenth anniversary.
I am delighted to announce that I have chosen the SF LGBT Center as the beneficiary of my 2012 Pride party. It's hard to believe that it has been almost 10 years since the Center opened its doors. What they have accomplished in that decade is nothing short of amazing. The Center launched the first LGBT economic development program in the world, featuring a Transgender Economic Empowerment Initiative that helps transgender people realize their true potential. They offer services for LGBT families such as hosting free childcare during any event held at the Center. Their youth program is a beacon of hope on Market Street for queer youth who are newly arrived in San Francisco and find themselves without food or shelter. The Center offers countless events, arts and cultural activities, information, and vital services for our community. In the next ten years it is poised to continue supporting those most in need while increasing opportunities for all of us to connect with one another and build the healthiest, most vibrant community possible. This is what inspires me about the Center – the promise and opportunity it has for all of us to make new friends, build new families and collaborate -- while doing it fabulously!
$25 advance tickets available at juanitamore.com & Sui Generis, 2231 Market Street and Retro Fit, 910 Valencia Street SF $35 at the door.
